Lumia devices now spot BBM app

Lumia smartphone…..Now that it spots BBM app, users can ping away their sorrows

Microsoft Mobile today, announced that popular mobile messaging application, BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) is now available for download on its Windows Phone based Lumia smartphones.
Recall that BlackBerry last week announced approval of its BBM app on devices on the Windows phone platform.
As a result Partnership Manager, Developer Experience, Nokia West and Central Africa, Emmanuel Oluwatosin described the new development as a relief to the Lumia smartphones. He said the development will create more fun experiences for Nokia customers who use the Lumia brand. “We are extremely delighted about this news and we know our customers are excited as well. We finally have one more to boost our presence in the smartphone market. This will also expand various chat applications available on the Lumia smartphone for customers to stay connected with their loved ones”.
He however added that “BBM app is available for all Lumia smartphone running Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1 operating system. To download the BBM app is absolutely free and easy; customers should go to the Windows Store on their Lumia smartphones, search for Blackberry Messenger and BBM Beta app and download”
“The app has been tailored for Microsoft’s Live Tile user interface, and users will find three sections in BBM – Chats, Contacts and Feeds – which can be accessed by swiping through the app”
